Transient response of eddy currents generated by planar z gradient coil in the local Rf shielding box of a 0.3T permanent magnet MRI system are simulated by applying a novel approach in the network analysis of electromagnetic system. Magnetic scalar potential of Biot Savarts law is implemented in the calculation of mutual inductances between the z gradient coil and the conducting structure in interest, which is always the most crucial part in network analysis method. This very unique and efficient method would be possible to implement in network analysis of eddy current generated by any type of planar gradient coil.
