A new image based navigation sequence is proposed to overcome nodding motion in MRI, where a thick coronal excitation plane over the patients nose followed by a sagittal EPI readout tracks the nose in real time - NoseNav. This sequence module will be used in a real-time setting and update the prescribed slices over the brain so that they follow the nodding motion of the patient, which also is the direction that is hardest to restrain in practice.
