Understanding MR properties of myelin would provide valuable insight into current MRI methods for myelin imaging. Myelin forms a lamellar liquid crystal lipid system whose phase behavior is influenced by temperature. In recent work the MR properties of rehydrated myelin extracts have been studied at room temperature, but whether the results apply to physiological temperature is not currently understood. Here, we studied the temperature dependence (10-50&[deg]C) of the liquid crystal phase of rehydrated bovine myelin extract with 31P and 1H NMR. The results are consistent with myelin lipids exhibiting a lamellar liquid crystal phase over this temperature range
